The main factors that should be considered for the selection of mining vibrating screen: The characteristics of the screened material (the content of the material under the sieve mesh, difficult to sieve the material particle size content, material moisture content and clay content, material shape, the proportion of materials, etc.),the structure of the screening equipment (screen area, screen layer number, mesh size and shape, sieve mesh area ratio, sieve trajectory amplitude and frequency, etc.),requirements for beneficiation process(processing capacity, screening efficiency, screening method, sieve inclination, etc.)

In addition to considering the above effects, the following basic principles should be observed:

1. For the sieve can be in good working conditions, the length of the screen and the width of the ratio should be in the range of 2 to 3.

2. Should choose reasonable screen surface material and structure under the actual conditions.

3. Determine the effective working area of the mining vibrating screen. Screening area that calculated according to the requirements of the production process is the effective area of sieve, the sieve specifications are the nominal area of the sieve. For the screening of medium size materials, the effective sieving area should be 0.8 to 0.85 times of the nominal area of the sieve. Of course, this is closely related to the screen hole opening rate on the screen surface.

4. More than 200mm material, generally use heavy vibrating screen. More than 10mm material, generally use circular vibrating screen. The linear vibration sieve and high frequency vibrating screen are mostly used for desliming, dewatering and classification. The concrete selection is mainly based on the engineer's opinion.
